As hard as I try to sound tough and dark, I still sound cute. – Jenny Lewis

Does it feel like you have seen this dress before? Well, you have! This is one of the benefits of Lolita, you really get to rethink the way you use a dress.

The first time I used this dress I went a bit more gothic, with black and gold leggings, fancy glasses and the matching headpiece. This time I switched out pretty much everything except the shoes. The look feels quite a bit different instantly, even if the main piece is the same!

I wanted to play off one something else than the blue and the gold this time. I had bought the thights from H&M to try coordinate with this and the headpiece by accident! I had no idea if it would work with this dress or not, but I am quite happy with the look.

For me, this is part of the magic. My own coording skills and looks get better with time with quite a minimal effort. There still isn’t that much variation in my wardrobe since it is quite small, but slowly and steadily it keeps on growing! Next, I’m looking at getting some better blouses to add a bit of variation as well as getting more accessories to play around with. My jewelry is still especially lacking, but I guess things will accumulate over time.

Is there something else that you guys are still wondering about when it comes to Lolita? I feel like I have covered quite a bit with my Lolita 101 series, but don’t know if there’s anything else I need to cover currently. So if there is something you want me to write about: Leave your suggestions in the comments!
