I realized that I should not be posting this day since it is stream day… As I am writing this… Oh well! Enjoy this week’s extra posts!
Sony’s Showcase was quite an emotional rollercoaster for me. Lots of excitement, but the trailer for Destiny 2: Forsaken… it hurt, a lot. Cayde-6 was my favorite character from the games and seeing his demise was quite the shock. I also can’t really say whether that killed the last interest I had for the game or if I should get all the DLC to dish out some payback. I will have to wait and see what happens.
I actually missed out on The Last of Us and all that even it did look alright. Now that I saw the trailer for Last of Us Part II, I got truly curious about the game and its prequel! I want to know more about the story and the characters. How did they get to this point? Who is the woman Ellie was kissing? Where does this go? So many questions, so little time… The gameplay also looked quite impressive and like something I would enjoy. I’m seldomly the person who runs in guns blazing, so a setting where you can stealth around enemies and plan your attack really speaks to me. Ammo also seemed to be scarce so it’ll be interesting to see how much you have to time and think about your moves. The game doesn’t have a set release date yet.
Ghost of Tsushima was a game that I haven’t heard of before, but that impressed with how beautiful it looked. There is a certain charm with a Japanese countryside in the feudal times. It will also be interesting to see what the story is about besides the Mongol invasion as there did seem to be a bit of infiting being implied as well. Sadly there isn’t really much more information out currently and there is no release date, but definitely, something to keep an eye out for.
Death Stranding is confusing at it’s best and confusing enough to cause headaches at it’s worst currently. Finally we got at least a bit of context and an idea of what the game is about though! It seems like the main character is some very, very strange kind of delivery man and that there are monsters in the world that make you disappear. There was something more with that last part, but I didn’t quite grasp what it was about. I think it implied some sort of time travel, but I had kind of lost the plot by that point. Either way, I am actually starting to have a real interest in this game, but only the gods and maybe Kojima know when it will actually be done.
Déraciné is a game that was only given a quick glimpse of but it looked absolutely gorgeus. Apparently, it is a very artistic game even if no one really knows what it is about and there was a mention of fairies and some kind of magic. I am sold.
