Ah, summer, what power you have to make us suffer and like it. – Russell Baker

This summer heat is definitely killing my workflow! I do love the sunshine and the warmth, but there is a limit to everything. I need to look into working from my tablet instead so I can get out of our 30-degree office. I would really just want to chill around the house (in a draft) playing video games all summer! I decided to try out this look with my beautiful headphones that are designed by Yuumei Art that I absolutely adore. Sadly I haven’t had much of a chance to use them as the noise cancellation is quite good and I like to play together with my SO. Did you know that there are speakers in the ears and that they light up? Best Christmas present ever.

The game I am playing currently is Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. I am absolutely in love with the title and I just don’t want it to end! I have played through most of the plot already, but am deliberately stalling to just keep it from ending. It’s been a while since I was this enthralled by a game and there are many happy (and sad) moments I have enjoyed. I absolutely adore this incarnation of Zelda and besides her, I am absolutely in love with Mipha (the Zora Champion) and Riju (the Gerudo Princess). The characters are so precious and definitely have their own personalities and stories in this game. The sheer amount of detail in the stories is just insane and I must give big applauds to Nintendo for that.

The amount of time I spend playing games has definitely gone down lately, but it is a bit cyclical. I have been more in the mood of watching weird documentaries on Netflix lately. It’s definitely good to have a break in gaming at the moment though as there’s quite a lot of good titles coming up this autumn, winter, and spring next year. I have more than enough on my plate as well with hundreds (not kidding there by the way) of games laying around to different consoles and in my Steam library. I should play through all the things I haven’t finished as well.

I definitely have a thing for leaving games unfinished and especially if I stumble upon a situation where I need to grind myself up a few levels to get further (I’m looking at YOU, Final Fantasy X). I’m also in a period where I would love to replay and 100% complete a bunch of older games like Kingdom Hearts I and II and the Spyro games for PS1.

Do you have any good tips for surviving the summer heat? Feel free to share as it seems like this weather is going to last!
